饾晱 post preview and character counter
Paste a post and see how many characters 饾晱 will count, and roughly how it will look in the timeline. Links, emoji and non-Latin scripts are counted the way 饾晱 counts them, not the way a word processor does.
Updated
124 characters typed; 126 as X counts them. 1 link counts as 23 each.
A timeline-like card for line breaks and length. X decides the final layout.
Everything runs in your browser. What you paste is not sent to Crux or anyone else, and nothing is saved.
How it works
饾晱 does not count characters one by one. Every link counts as 23 characters, however long it is, because 饾晱 shortens it to a t.co link. Emoji count as 2, and so do most characters outside Latin scripts, such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean. A standard post can hold 280 of these weighted characters; longer posts need 饾晱 Premium. This counter uses the same weights, so the number it shows is the number 饾晱 will check.
Questions
Why does my post count differently here than in a word processor?
饾晱 weighs characters. A link counts as 23 whatever its length, an emoji counts as 2, and most characters outside Latin scripts count as 2. Word processors count every character as 1.
How many characters can a post on 饾晱 have?
280 weighted characters for a standard post. Accounts with 饾晱 Premium can post up to 25,000; the counter says when a post needs it.
Does a link without https:// still count as 23?
Yes, when 饾晱 recognises it as a link, such as example.com/page. The counter treats links with or without a scheme, www. links and bare domains on common endings that way.
Is the preview exactly what 饾晱 will show?
No. It shows your text in a dark, timeline-like card so you can see line breaks and length. 饾晱 decides the final layout, link cards and when to cut a long post behind Show more.
From one post to every push
Crux (cruxpost.com) watches the GitHub repos you choose. Each push, merged pull request or release becomes three drafts in your voice, checked the way this site鈥檚 tools check a post, and your coding agent can add why a change matters through the Crux plugin for Claude Code and Codex. Crux reads commit messages, pull request and release text and the names of changed files, never a diff. Post on X copies the draft you like and opens X with it, for you to post; on Autopilot, Crux posts only what you schedule. It reads each post at 1 hour, 24 hours and 7 days, and learns which kinds of post work for your account only once a pattern beats chance.
