π advanced search builder
Fill in plain fields, or start from a preset, and get one search query to copy or open on x.com. The presets find people asking for a tool like yours, people complaining about a tool or framework, and people shipping with one.
Updated
changelog ("looking for a tool" OR "is there a tool" OR "any recommendations" OR "recommend a" OR "what do you use for" OR "alternative to") -is:retweetBuilt with the operators in Xβs search operator reference. Check the results in X before you rely on a query.
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to Crux, and nothing is saved; the query goes to π only when you open it there.
How it works
π's search takes operators in the query itself: "quotes" for an exact phrase, OR between alternatives, a minus sign to leave a word out, from: and to: for accounts, lang: for a language, and filters such as -is:retweet. This builder writes them from plain fields, using the operators in π's search operator reference, and opens the query on x.com, where π runs it in your own account. It never searches π itself. A filter like lang: or -is:retweet cannot make up a query alone, so the builder warns when only filters are left.
Questions
How do I find people asking for a tool like mine?
Pick the preset People asking for a tool like yours and type what your product does in a word or two. It searches for that word with phrases such as looking for a tool, any recommendations and alternative to, and leaves out reposts.
Does it search π for me?
No. It writes the query and links to x.com's search with it. π runs the search in your own account, which needs you to be signed in to π.
Which operators does it use?
Words, exact phrases, OR, excluded words, hashtags, from:, to:, @mentions, lang:, -is:retweet, -is:reply, has:links, min_likes: and min_replies:, as π's search operator reference lists them. π's help page on advanced search names the same kinds of filter without their syntax, so check the results in π.
Why does it warn that a query needs a word?
π's reference says some operators, such as lang:, is: and has:, cannot be used alone. Add a word, a phrase, a hashtag or an account.
From one post to every push
Crux (cruxpost.com) watches the GitHub repos you choose. Each push, merged pull request or release becomes three drafts in your voice, checked the way this siteβs tools check a post, and your coding agent can add why a change matters through the Crux plugin for Claude Code and Codex. Crux reads commit messages, pull request and release text and the names of changed files, never a diff. Post on X copies the draft you like and opens X with it, for you to post; on Autopilot, Crux posts only what you schedule. It reads each post at 1 hour, 24 hours and 7 days, and learns which kinds of post work for your account only once a pattern beats chance.
