Frame a screenshot for a post on 𝕏
Drop a screenshot of what you built. Put it in a plain browser or window frame on one of Crux's backgrounds, set the padding, and download a PNG at 1600 × 900 or at the screenshot's own size.
Updated
Your framed screenshot shows here. The image stays on your device.
Everything runs in your browser. Your image is read on your device and is not uploaded to Crux or anyone else, and nothing is saved.
How it works
A bare screenshot in a post has no edge and blends into the timeline. Padding, a background and a simple frame give it one. This tool reads your image in your browser, draws it on a canvas inside a plain frame (a bar with an empty address field, a bare bar, or none) and saves the result as a PNG. In 1600 × 900 mode the framed screenshot is fitted and centred without cropping; in own-size mode the screenshot keeps its pixels, and only a very large one is scaled down to 2400 pixels on its longest side.
Questions
Is my screenshot uploaded?
No. Your browser reads the file and draws it on a canvas on your device. Nothing is sent to Crux or anyone else.
Which files can I use?
PNG, JPEG, WebP and GIF images up to 15 MB. An animated GIF is drawn as its first frame.
Will it crop my screenshot?
No. In 1600 × 900 mode the framed screenshot is scaled to fit inside the padding and centred, so a tall or wide screenshot leaves more background on two sides. A small screenshot is enlarged at most twice.
Why is the browser frame so plain?
It is not a copy of any real browser. It is a bar with an empty address field, drawn in Crux's own colours, so the image does not suggest a product it is not.
From one post to every push
Crux (cruxpost.com) watches the GitHub repos you choose. Each push, merged pull request or release becomes three drafts in your voice, checked the way this site’s tools check a post, and your coding agent can add why a change matters through the Crux plugin for Claude Code and Codex. Crux reads commit messages, pull request and release text and the names of changed files, never a diff. Post on X copies the draft you like and opens X with it, for you to post; on Autopilot, Crux posts only what you schedule. It reads each post at 1 hour, 24 hours and 7 days, and learns which kinds of post work for your account only once a pattern beats chance.
