Changelog formatter
Paste the output of git log --oneline, a list of merged pull requests or rough notes. The formatter groups the lines into Added, Fixed, Changed, Removed and Docs, drops the noise, and gives it back as Markdown, plain text or a single 饾晱 post.
Updated
## 1.2.0 ### Added - Rollbacks in one command ### Fixed - Wrong exit code on failed deploys ### Changed - Keep the build cache between deploys ### Removed - Remove the legacy config loader ### Docs - Explain rollbacks
Left out as internal work: 2 lines (merges, chores, CI, version bumps).
Everything runs in your browser. What you paste is not sent to Crux or anyone else, and nothing is saved.
How it works
A readable changelog groups changes by what they mean to users: what was added, what was fixed, what changed and what was removed. This formatter sorts each pasted line by its conventional commit type or its first verb, removes commit hashes, bullets and duplicates, leaves out merges, chores, CI changes and version bumps, and writes the groups as Markdown, as plain text, or as one 饾晱 post that fits 280 characters and says how many items it left out.
Questions
What can I paste?
One change per line: git log --oneline output, conventional commits, pull request titles or your own notes. Hashes at the start of a line and list bullets are removed.
How does it decide the group?
By the conventional commit type when there is one (feat is Added, fix is Fixed, perf and refactor are Changed, docs is Docs), otherwise by the first word: Add, Fix, Improve, Remove and their variants. Anything else goes under Other.
Does it reword my lines?
No. It only tidies them: prefixes and pull request numbers come off and the first letter is capitalised. What a line says stays yours.
What does the 饾晱 post format do with a long changelog?
It keeps as many items as fit in 280 characters and ends with how many it left out, so the post stays truthful.
From one post to every push
Crux (cruxpost.com) watches the GitHub repos you choose. Each push, merged pull request or release becomes three drafts in your voice, checked the way this site鈥檚 tools check a post, and your coding agent can add why a change matters through the Crux plugin for Claude Code and Codex. Crux reads commit messages, pull request and release text and the names of changed files, never a diff. Post on X copies the draft you like and opens X with it, for you to post; on Autopilot, Crux posts only what you schedule. It reads each post at 1 hour, 24 hours and 7 days, and learns which kinds of post work for your account only once a pattern beats chance.
